Jizu Mountain is a national 4A-level scenic spot. It is a Buddhist holy land well-known in South Asia and Southeast Asia. It is one of the ten famous Buddhist mountains in China. It is an important attraction in the Dali Scenic Area of the national-level scenic spot and mainly displays Buddhist culture and ecological landscape. It is a multi-functional tourist attraction integrating Buddhist worship, Buddhist research, sightseeing and popular science research. Jizu Mountain is located in the northwest corner of Binchuan County in northwest Yunnan on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. It is adjacent to Dali and Eryuan in the west and Heqing in the north. Because of its mountain top, it rises to the northwest and its tail meanders to the southeast. It has three branches in the front and one ridge in the back. , named after its shape resembling a chicken foot. A famous Buddhist holy place in Southeast Asia, the intersection of Chinese and Tibetan Buddhism and the birthplace of Zen Buddhism in the world, it is known as "the most beautiful chicken foot in the world", "Lingshan Buddhist capital and tourist attraction", "Tiankai Buddhist Kingdom", "China's first It has the reputation of "One Foshan" and "Four Views and Eight Views" and is famous for its unique scenery and splendor. It is listed by the State Council as one of the 44 scenic spots in the country.

It is said that Jizu Mountain was the place where Venerable Kasyapa, the great disciple of Sakyamuni, kept his clothes and entered meditation. Historically, there were many Buddhist temples and quiet rooms, and it was revered as a Buddhist holy place. The mountains here are majestic, with towering ancient trees, verdant mountains, chirping birds and fragrant flowers. There are Cangfeng rock cliffs, Yulong Waterfall, streams, springs, caves, rocks and other wonders. It can be regarded as "the most beautiful mountain in three states, with beautiful peaks in several counties". There are temples such as the Golden Summit Temple, Surangama Pagoda, Bronze Buddha Hall, Prince Pavilion, Kasyapa Hall, and Zhusheng Temple in the scenic area. The top of Tianzhu Mountain stands alone in the sky. Huashoumen is a thousand-foot cliff with "four views" at the top and "eight views" as the main scenery. The four views are: the sunrise in the east, colorful clouds in the south, Erhai Lake in the west, and snow-capped mountains in the north. The eight sceneries are: Tianzhu Buddha's light, Huashou Qinglei, Prince's entrance hall, ancient cave and other sky, waterfall piercing the clouds, thousands of valleys and pines, sunset over the wall, and the moon in the pagoda courtyard.
