When the weather is clear, standing at Gyatso La Pass, you can not only overlook Mount Everest, but also the other three peaks Cho Oyu, Lhotse and Makalu, all with an altitude of more than 8,000 meters. ▍Day 8 (08/Oct): Visit Namtso and return to Yangbajing Hot Spring Hotel for accommodation.
Attraction: Nyenchen Tanglha Observation Deck
Nyenchen Tanglha Mountain is located in the middle of the Tibetan Plateau, and the snow on the mountain does not melt all year round. The air in the mountain pass is thin and there are few people. Stop the car and look into the distance. The blue figure of Namtso is so dazzling in the vast grassland, which makes people have the urge to fly closer and get a glimpse of its true appearance.
Attraction: Naganla Pass
With an altitude of 5190 meters, it is located in Damxung County, Lhasa City and is the only way to Namtso. A stone tablet was erected at the mountain pass to mark the altitude, and the surrounding Mani piles were covered with prayer flags. Looking north from the mountain pass, you can see the blue Namtso in the distance. Looking around, I felt a sense of majesty and vastness.
Attraction: Namtso National Park
"Wandering around mountains, rivers, and pagodas is not to cultivate the next life, but just to meet you on the way." Namtso is the world-famous Tibetan holy lake. The lake surface is 4,718 meters above sea level. The lake water is crystal clear and sky blue, and the water and sky blend into each other. Namtso is a sacred place for body, speech and mind. If you can walk around the lake, you can gain profound knowledge and immeasurable merit.
